Well, it's true, the site got hacked while I have been busy working on the NEW website. The new software has many new features and security measures built in so I guess it is time to bite the bullet and start putting up pieces of the new one to make it easier to log in, authenticate and eliminate the garbage users. I had major help from Nicholas Dionysopoulos in Greece who wrote our fantastic new backup software Akeeba Deluxe http://www.akeebabackup.com/. He is out for a seminar on to J! and Beyond in Wiesbaden, Germany for a couple days but he made sure that I was taken care of before leaving. Since there are many changes that are being implemented I have temporarily locked down new user registration in the front end of our website. You can still log into the phpBB forum with your password to post and the users that have access to the Google calendar can still add events or change events. Another feature you will see pop up will be our new community software.
Do not be afraid of your any of your personal information as that was never accessible to the hackers and will always be the most important feature to have incorporated in our site. I will finish compiling the modules and take them for a test run and put pieces together to make sure everything will be available to legitimate registered users. Then we will start accepting new users. There are still issues with the integration within different modules. Another feature implemented is user-friendly URL's - that's the address in the bar you type in to get where you want to go- done! There were 238 users accessing the website when I did it, the server hiccuped for a couple minutes while it indexed everything, but when it finished there were still 198 logged in...
Thanks for your understanding~
Ray
